We have just joined the Society after reading an article about the Dunwoodie(y) family. We have carried out some family research and believe we are related to them.
William Dunwoodie married Dorothy Bell who had a daughter Alice Dunwoodie. She married Thomas Hutchinson and they had a daughter Mary who then married Robert Henry Miller with whom we are ancestors to.
We did visit Hexham many years ago and we stood outside where they lived in Glovers Place, not realising at the time the significance of Dunwoodie Terrace. We are wondering if you have any further information on either the Dunwoodies or Hutchinsons or both or point us in another direction for information.
We are planning another visit next year.
