My Great Grandfather, John Forster, and family emigrated from Hexham to Canada and then eventually the US in 1914. My cousin and I plan in the near future to visit family origins. I’d there a way to discover possible locations in Hexham where the family reside? All help and suggestions appreciated.

Forster is a very common name in Northumberland, I’m afraid! The 1911 census lists no fewer than 9 John Forsters in Hexham so, if you have any dates or other members of his family, it would be worth checking there to see if any of them match.
