In 1911, a family I’ve been researching lived at Hexham Abbey Institute. What was it?

St Wilfrid’s Abbey Institute is the original name for Hexham’s Community Centre on Gilesgate, opened in 1900. It would seem likely, therefore, that your family were resident, they may well have been caretakers of the Institute.
