In June, 1761, the government sent a special investigator, J. Perrot, to Hexham to try and identify the ringleaders of the Hexham Militia Riot. His report is in the National Army Museum library. Tom Corfe referred to it in his book on the riot, but only saw a summary of the document. I can’t find a transcript of it anywhere. Has anyone seen the original, or a full transcript?
