Does anyone have any images of the Bush Inn that was demolished in the 1950’s? It used to sit in front of Prospect House and opposite the Moot Hall and adjacent the Gaol. We have been looking for photo’s or sketches depicting this building but have come up empty handed? We are working on proposals to convert prospect House into residential use and images of the old Bush Inn will help us to ensure our proposals are appropriate in terms of scale, design and materials.

I’m afraid that we are unaware of any image of the Bush Inn. I suspect that it was demolished too early, when local photographers were not interested in photographing mere inns – particularly those tucked in around back streets next to far more photogenic towers!
