Does anyone have any information on the sewage works / manure plant that used to be just over the railway line on Tyne Green (opposite the Golf clubhouse)?

According to old maps at one time it sat on both sides of the railway line and where the WCF shop used to be was a manure processing plant.

What are the dates of its operation? It appears on maps from late 1800s and 1950s but I don’t know when it finished and was demolished. I certainly can’t remember it being there in the 70s.

I always thought this was a knackers yard. If I remember correctly it was both sides of Burn Lane and had a narrow gauge railway track crossing Burn Lane.
I would think this was to move small tubs between each part of the sight. I can not remember when it went but was possibly still there in the 50’s.
